Oodle to Power Facebook Classifieds in Q1-09

From Techcrunch.
From VentureBeat.

According to TechCrunch, Facebook is expected to partner with Oodle to handle its classified listings. This was just confirmed on the Oodle blog buy Craig Donato.

Noteworthy is the fact that Oodle also powers MySpace's Classified Business as well. The Facebook classifieds will be cross pollenated with Oodle's other partners, creating a robust universe of 200 M ++ consumers.  That's sizable.

Facebook previously tried to approach the Classified Listing business with a 'Craiglist style' minimalist approach which completely failed. By becoming the preferred classifieds partner, Oodle’s app would be promoted by Facebook in return for a cut of revenues generated by listing fees and the like.

The service will launch in Q1-09.
