In short, Netbook sales have skyrocketed, 1 in 10 people have purchased a Netbook, they are a complement to existing personal computers and being seen as a way to extend a person's mobile lifestyle, and they have been purchase by a wide demographic.
The report notes that sales have increased based on uncertain economic times but I also see Netbook's as becoming a low cost, starter computer for kids.
