Facebook Growth By Geography and Gender

There is a great summary of Facebook's growth by region and gender on the O'Reilly blog. Most notably:

• Facebook now has 128 M users
• The United States only represenents 30% of the Facebook population.
• Spain and Italy have seen significant growth in Europe
• Venezuela, Argentina, and Uruguay were Facebook's fastest-growth countries in South America
• Facebook has two significant competitors in Asia - Multiply and Friendster.
• Females now outnumber Males, 51% to 44%
