Politics in a Web 2.0 World
This is another segment from the Web 2.o Summit in San Francisco earlier this month. This video focuses specifically on politics in a Web 2.0 world and the panelist include Arianna Huffington, Joe Trippi and Gavin Newsom (the Major of San Francisco).
I think the major take away is that Obama became president using a new medium (the Internet) just like Kennedy became president using a new medium (the television) in 1960.
One amazing statistic is that Americans watched a focused 14.5 million hours of the Obama video on Youtube at a cost of basically zero. It would have cost and estimated $47 M for that airtime on broadcast television.
